Media EncodingAGCL are available to encode media on behalf of clients. Please email sales@agcl.com for a quote. For examples of our work, please refer to the media examples page.
To prepare media for use on our streaming media server farm, you will need to download the relevant encoding software from Real Networks or Microsoft.
A range of Microsoft encoding utilities are available from our Media Tools page.
|
Clients are provided with a seperate FTP account for the intelligent streaming area. Media files can be placed in the web area for download, but these will not be streamed intelligently.
Once your encoded content has been uploaded to our intelligent streaming area, you will need to create a metafile to link to your file. This should be created in a basic text editor such as notepad, and named as follows:
| Windows Media |
Real Media |
| Audio only: |
filename.wax |
Audio only: |
filename.ram |
| Audio/Video: |
filename.wvx |
Audio/Video: |
A basic metafile will contain the following data (please note that the paths included in these examples are typical of the address you will be allocated):
| Windows Media |
Real Media |
